Generally it is believed by many that an individual with strabismus usually sees a double image, or can even look in different directions simultaneously as portrayed in some films. However, the truth is that the brain of the person ignores what is seen by one of the person’s eyes, hence the image is not actually doubled. Simply put, a person with strabismus can see clearly by covering their eye with hand.
This is the condition where the nearby objects are clearly visible, while the objects at distance appear blurry.
